Welcome to The Right
Move's website. You've just entered the site of the longest running free
scholastic chess tournament program in New York History. The Right Move is now in
its 17th successful year of holding free scholastic chess tournaments for the New
York area.
The Right Move Chess Foundation, Inc. is a charitable organization whose purpose
is to serve the New York City community through chess, the world's preeminent intellectual
game. The Right Move provides free chess tournaments, chess instruction, literature,
and equipment at schools, community centers, libraries, and hospitals.
The Right Move has a dedicated staff that is focused on helping and working with
your children or students. We try to make sure that each chess player has a great
time and enjoys the game as much as we do!
